Heat Therapy – Therapeutic Warmth for Deep Healing
Harnessing the Healing Power of Therapeutic Heat
At Pinpoint, we offer advanced heat therapies that go beyond simple warming. Our specialized treatments—including traditional moxibustion, cutting-edge low level laser therapy, and TDP mineral lamps—work at the cellular level to promote healing, reduce inflammation, and restore vitality. Located between Queen Anne and Fremont in Seattle, we combine ancient wisdom with modern technology to provide the most effective thermal therapies available.
Our Heat Therapy Services
Moxibustion Therapy (Moxa)
Experience the 3,000-year-old practice of moxibustion, where dried mugwort (artemisia argyi) is burned near specific acupuncture points to stimulate healing. This aromatic therapy creates a deep, penetrating warmth that:
Benefits:
- Strengthens immune function
- Improves digestive health
- Relieves menstrual irregularities
- Supports fertility
- Reduces arthritis pain
- Turns breech babies
- Combats chronic fatigue
- Great for acute injuries and bruising
Treatment Methods:
- Direct moxa – Small cones placed on protective medium
- Indirect moxa – Moxa stick held above the skin
- Needle moxa – Attached to acupuncture needles for deeper penetration
- Smokeless options – For sensitive individuals
The gentle heat from moxa penetrates deeply into muscles and meridians, promoting circulation and strengthening the body’s vital energy (Qi). Many patients describe the sensation as deeply comforting, like sunshine warming them from the inside out.
- Please discuss with your provider to add moxibustion to your acupuncture treatment.
Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT)
Also known as cold laser or photobiomodulation, at PinPoint we us a Avant LZ30-ProZ laser system. Our FDA-cleared laser therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to stimulate cellular repair without any heat or discomfort. This revolutionary treatment accelerates healing at the molecular level.
How LLLT Works
- Red and near-infrared light penetrates tissue (up to 5 inches)
- Stimulates mitochondrial ATP production
- Increases cellular metabolism by up to 200%
- Reduces inflammation naturally
- Accelerates tissue repair and natural healing process
- Provide analgesic effects through endorphin release
Proven Effective For
- Musculoskeletal Pain: Back, neck, shoulder, knee pain
- Sports Injuries: Sprains, strains, tennis elbow, rotator cuff
- Arthritis: Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis

- You can book LLLT as a stand-alone add in treatment.
TDP Mineral Lamp Therapy
Harness the therapeutic power of far-infrared heat enhanced by a proprietary mineral plate. TDP (Teding Diancibo Pu) lamps, often called “miracle lamps” in China, emit a unique electromagnetic frequency that promotes healing beyond ordinary heat therapy.
What Makes TDP Special
The lamp’s mineral plate contains 33 trace elements that, when heated, create a specific wavelength shown to:
- Increase microcirculation
- Accelerate metabolism
- Strengthen immune response
- Reduce inflammation
- Promote tissue repair
Conditions Treated
- Chronic pain and stiffness
- Soft tissue injuries
- Arthritis and joint pain
- Digestive disorders
- Respiratory conditions
- Post-surgical recovery
- General wellness and prevention
The TDP Experience: The lamp is positioned over your treatment area, providing consistent therapeutic warmth for 20-40 minutes. Unlike regular heating pads, TDP’s mineral-infused infrared penetrates 2-3 inches into the body, creating lasting therapeutic effects.
- Please discuss with your provider to add TDP to your acupuncture treatment.
