Herbal medicine at PinPoint in Seattle follows in the footsteps of 2,000+ years of herbal and food theraputics tradition. We prescribe external applied and internally taken traditional formulas adjusted to your needs.
Herbal consultations can address health concerns, work on emotional and mental wellbeing, address shifting seasonal patterns, or if something just feels off.
What to Expect During Your Consultation
First Office Calls / 45 minutes
During your first office call, we conduct a comprehensive intake session focusing on your health concerns to determine your Chinese Medicine diagnosis. We then develop a personalized treatment plan that supports your health goals, which may include herbs, food therapy, and lifestyle modifications designed specifically for your needs.
Return Office Calls / 20 minutes
We use return office calls to monitor your progress and assess how the herbs, dietary changes, and lifestyle modifications are working for you. During your first visit, we’ll recommend the ideal timing for your follow-up appointment based on your specific treatment needs.
Scheduling
You can schedule your herbal consultation office call either in-person at our clinic or online via telehealth.
Herbal Options
Your visit will include a discussion about various herbal options best suited for you. Internal options include raw herbs that you would decoct, granules – similar to an instant coffee, tablets. Topicals for external use only might include steams, and oil based application.
Please note that pricing does not include the cost of the herbs, which generally run $25 to $40 / weekly.

All pricing is half off if your consultation is done during the course of an acupuncture appointment.
Unfortunately, insurance doesn’t cover herbal medicine, but you can use your FSA or HSA card if you have one.
